Applicants need to submit two reference letters. The reference letters may be from a variety of sources such as current or former professors, instructors, employers, volunteer project managers or coaches. The reference letters can be submitted using the referee's own stationary.

Those applicants deemed suitable will be invited for interview via Skype (videoconferencing software). Those deemed unsuitable will be sent a rejection letter.

Subject to the outcome of the interview, applicants will receive either a rejection letter, or a conditional or unconditional offer letter. Those with a conditional offer will receive an unconditional offer once those conditions have been met, subject to availability on the courses.

Upon payment of the first instalment of tuition fees, those with an unconditional offer will be sent a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) letter, and invited to enrol at the college at a specified date. The CAS Letter will contain the student’s unique CAS Number, required for a visa application.

Upon receipt of the CAS Letter, overseas students can begin the process of acquiring a Tier 4 (student) visa. As visa requirements vary from country to country, you should contact the local British Council, High Commission or Embassy for further details or visit:
www.ukvisas.gov.uk.

A student whose application for a visa has not been successful may apply for a deferral to the next semester. Your “Application for Deferral” must be submitted to Thames College Berkshire College no later than 14 calendar days prior to the commencement of your programme or course of study. If deferral is not possible, they may be eligible for a refund.

Students who have successfully obtained a visa will be required to enrol at the college at the date specified in their CAS Letter. Failure to do so will result in the UK Border Agency being informed, and may result in expulsion from the course, without refund of fees.

Upon completion of enrolment, you are deemed ready to start attending classes in Thames College Berkshire.
